Our class has Painted Lady Butterflies!
The butterflies had a sleepover at Ms. Shipway's house. See below for some photos and watch some videos Ms. Shipway has posted on YouTube.

Painted Lady's have blue, pink, and brown colouring on the underside of their wings
Look at the beautiful details on these butterflies. Can you see their eyes? Butterflies have two eyes made of 10 000 lenses!
Painted Lady Butterflies have orange and black colouring on the tops of their wings
This photo shows the butterfly's proboscis (tongue). When a butterfly is born, its tongue is split in two tubes and must connect before the butterfly can eat.

(but only use 4 of those legs).
